Bedazzled – Mom and sister free use
Bedazzled tells the story of how a mother and her daughter are obsessed with beauty pageants. So obsessed, that they take no notice of being molested by a male family member. It’s a story with a warning about being blinded by their desires that they’re willing to let anything happen to them without question

Bedazzled runs for only 31 minutes but feels longer. The women in this just can’t shut up. This is a film built entirely on stupid conversation. The camera never looks away and the dialogue never stops. Surrounded by his talkative mother and sister, he interrupts the yakety yak with his cock in a mouth. But with only one cock to go around, it’s a tiresome job.
The opening scene unfolds in a bright, domestic setting. The mother and daughter are standing at a table working on crafts, laughing about how beautiful their creations are. The conversation about beauty pageants seems harmless at first. But it never goes anywhere and it never stops. Agghh! Entering the room, the son / brother has nothing to contribute. His presence is barely tolerated. So he starts to fondle the women, who open up to his advances without distracting from their own obsession. While he desires acknowledgement, they remain solely focused on pageantry, winning, competition, and appearance.

Intellectual pursuits are a waste of talents.
The daughter briefly suggests she might want to attend college, and the energy of the room shifts instantly. The mother’s anger is sharp. She never needed an education, and neither does her daughter. So she wants her girl to stay focused on the task at hand. Which is to make her outfit sufficiently Bedazzled, and win the pageant.
The second scene, set in the living room, tightens the tension. The mother and daughter continue their rapid-fire talk about dresses, pageant rules, and presentation. The son reenters and makes an offhand comment about archaeology, trying to inject logic into the conversation. It’s a small act of rebellion provoking his mother’s rage. His eventual apology for “not keeping his mouth shut” brings affection from both women. They touch and praise him, treating his submission as virtue. The dynamic is clear silence earns love, speech invites punishment.
The editing reinforces the suffocating atmosphere. There’s no soundtrack; the only sound is dialogue. The effect is overwhelming, a constant stream of words that never stops. By contrast, the man’s silence becomes the film’s rhythm. His few spoken lines are like a gasp of fresh air in the stifling, never-ending banter between the women. Their drone is enough to lull one to sleep, if you pay them any mind at all.
But maybe the point of free-use is that nobody pays anyone attention to anyone, not really. The final bit with mom touching up her daughter’s makeup is surreal. She decides that a thong bikini with oral sex might “guarantee the win”. Like the promise of sex is enough to make any pageant judge Bedazzled.
